The Trouser
The Trouser is the affirmative stance.
Cut from 100% black cotton with a subtle sheen, the silhouette is wide, high and entirely deliberate.
This is not a trouser that sits quietly in the wardrobe.
She takes up space because the woman wearing her has decided to.
The waist rises 10cm above the natural waistline, creating a strong foundation for the volume that follows. The entire waist is pleated and stitched vertically through the waist area, defining, shaping and holding the silhouette with precision.
Above the stitch line, the pleats release and open outward, creating a controlled balloon fullness that crowns the waist before the volume begins to fall.
Below, the silhouette opens into a dramatic wide leg, reaching approximately 100cm at the hem in a size 10. Each pleat falls cleanly from the waist towards the floor, allowing the fabric to move with the body while maintaining the architecture of the form.
The slight sheen of the black cotton catches the light as she moves, revealing the structure without diminishing its restraint.
Nothing about this trouser is incidental.
The inside receives the same consideration as the outside. The waist facing is finished with bias binding, and every internal seam is bias-bound for a clean, considered finish.
At the centre back, a YKK invisible zip sits discreetly within the waistband. In-seam pockets are integrated into the silhouette, functional without interrupting its line.
She is dramatic without being loud.
Structured without being rigid.
And she does not ask permission.
